The Twins in the Womb

Two twins were growing together in their mother's womb. One was a believer, and the other was a skeptic.

"Do you really believe in life after delivery?" the skeptic twin asked. "Of course," the believer twin replied. "This is just a time to grow and get ready for what comes next. There has to be more to life than this dark, cramped space."

"Nonsense," the skeptic argued. "Life is exactly what is here. Once delivery happens, it’s just the end. Have you ever seen anyone come back from delivery? It's just a black void."

The believer twin shook his head. "I don't know exactly what it will be like, but I believe there will be bright light, and maybe we will walk with our legs and eat with our mouths!"

The skeptic laughed. "Walk? Eat? That's ridiculous! We have an umbilical cord that feeds us. The cord is too short for us to walk anywhere."

The believer twin smiled. "I also believe in Mother. I think we will finally see her face to face."

"Mother?!" The skeptic scoffed loudly. "You believe in Mother? If Mother exists, where is she? I've never seen her. We are all alone in here."

"She is all around us," the believer twin whispered softly. "We live in her, we move in her, and without her, we wouldn't exist at all. I know we can't see her right now, but I know she is there, waiting to hold us."
